HelixAR™

Electrosurgical Generator with ABC® Technology

Designed to minimize unintentional tissue charring

helixar-esu-front

Harness the power of premium ESU advanced specialty modes combined with the benefits of CONMED’s latest Argon Beam Coagulation (ABC®) technology.

Argon Beam Coagulation

ABC® Technology reduces carbonization by allowing coagulation directly on the stroma of target tissue. This results in rapid and effective hemostasis1 that reduces postoperative blood loss.2,3 This cost-effective advanced energy modality creates a more homogenous eschar4,5 by delivering a low depth of coagulation and decreased thermal damage to tissue.1 Argon gas enables focused, precise delivery of RF energy in a uniform stream that is distributed evenly on tissue.

HelixAR™ Specialty Modes

Fluids Mode
For Urology, Gynecology, and Arthroscopy, this allows rapid energy initiation for immediate clinical effect in high load / low impedance conditions

Lap Mode
For Robotic and Laparoscopic techniques, this limits voltage to 2700V to help reduce risks of inadvertent burns from capacitive coupling

Pulse Coag Mode
For General Surgery and ENT, this provides pulsing bursts of coagulation for controlled hemostasis with reduced tissue carbonization

Pulse Cut
For Gastroenterology

HelixAR™ ABC® Modes

Lap
Reduces maximum Argon flow for minimally invasive procedures

Open
Matches optimal flow with selected power for open procedures

Manual
Allows adjustable range of flow for selected power

Argon Dissect
Works with CONMED dissecting electrodes to provide four levels of argon-enhanced cutting

Pulse Argon
Provides controlled hemostasis for small surface bleeders with four pulse timings

ABC® Flex
For use with the CONMED ABCFlex™ Probe

Bend-a-Beam® ABC® Handpieces

Insulated, malleable, and bendable to 60°, Bend-a-Beam® is effective for open surgery and use cases on high impedance tissue.

Triple Option and Single Function Handpieces

The Triple Option handpiece is designed to save time and cut costs by combining three functions into one tool - monopolar cut, monopolar coag, and ABC® technology. The Single Function handpiece delivers ABC® energy.

ABC® Dissecting Electrodes and Probes

Dissecting Electrodes attach to a CONMED ABC® handpiece to convert argon beam coagulation to argon beam dissect, which may provide reduced smoke and less tissue damage. ABC® Laparoscopic Probes are designed to minimize tissue damage, reduce blood loss, and produce less surgical smoke.
